Having started in business in 2005, Chris Smith adopted an approach of providing a high Quality of Building product and a high level of client service and followup. His business has become known for responsiveness, quality and attention to detail. Working to a disciplined contract management process has earned Chris and his team a reputation as “…highly organised and onto it” – a comment heard frequently from Architects, Specifiers, Suppliers and Subcontractors.
Chris and his wife Kate were both born and raised in the Manawatu – spending most holidays in the Taupo Region. After travelling overseas extensively, they decided to settle in the Lake Taupo district as a clear choice to live, work and bring up a family.
Since then, the business base has grown along with Chris’ team of qualified Builders. Currently 3 qualified Builders are on staff, with an additional 3 apprentices having also now joined the ranks along with 1 general Labourer.
The aim of Building Central is to establish the right resource for any given client contract on an ongoing basis.
The business base hasn’t just been limited to the Taupo Region, with contracts having been undertaken also in the National Park and Raurimu.
